I first uploaded this site in December 1995, hosted by Demon Internet (London gateway) with a static IP address. Modem dial-up was at standard BT rates.
I can't now remember the URL, and I can't find any references on The Wayback Machine (Internet Archive) until I acquired the wilding.net domain name in July 1998.
The Space Patrol page has remained substantially unaltered for thirty+ years, excepting additions (when the original films were discovered) and when visitors to the site sent me art-work and a scan of a comic strip.
The pages were written by me in HTML 3.2 using a text editor (either Notepad or Vi).
There have never been cookies or trackers or commercial intent.
I had scores of emails from all over the World in the early years, from people who remembered the English Space Patrol TV programme. The last was in 2016.
This site dates from a time when the World Wide Web was just beginning; in December 1995 there were about 100,000 sites in total. Of those, only 100 to 200 are still in existence in substantially original form.
I've been told that the site is an antique, and shouldn't be changed; it's a reminder of the distant past of the Internet, when many hobbyists had their own website - most of which are now gone.
